Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

We collect the information you provide when you register, complete identity verification, or use the platform — including your name, email, phone number, bank details for withdrawals, and identity documents required for KYC. We also collect transaction records (Block purchases, wallet activity, referrals) and basic, anonymous usage data (the pages visited and a randomly generated session identifier, with no device fingerprinting or IP address storage) to understand how the platform is used.

2. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use cookies and similar browser storage only where they are strictly necessary for the platform to function — we do not use cookies for advertising, and we do not sell or share cookie data with third parties for marketing purposes. Specifically:

Session and login cookies — keep you signed in securely between pages, and are essential for your account to work at all.
Preference storage — remembers settings like dark/light theme and whether you've chosen to hide your balances by default, stored on your device only.
Payment processing cookies — set temporarily by Paystack or Flutterwave during checkout, required for fraud prevention and to complete your payment.

Because these are all necessary for core functionality — security, accessibility, and enabling the platform to work — Nigerian data protection rules do not require a separate accept/reject choice for them, though we are still required to, and do, tell you they exist and what they're for, which is the purpose of this section. If we ever introduce cookies for analytics, marketing, or advertising that are not strictly necessary, we will ask for your explicit, opt-in consent before doing so, separately from this policy.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to: verify your identity as required by Nigerian anti-money laundering regulations; process Block purchases, wallet transactions, and payouts; send transactional notifications (purchase confirmations, KYC status, security alerts); operate features you opt into, such as Auto-Invest and property alerts; and improve the platform based on aggregate usage patterns.

4. Legal Basis for Processing

We process your personal data under the Nigeria Data Protection Act, on the bases of: performance of our contract with you (operating your account and investments), compliance with legal obligations (KYC/AML requirements), and your consent where explicitly requested (e.g. marketing communications, Direct Debit mandates).

5. Who We Share Data With

We share data only with service providers necessary to operate the platform: Paystack and Flutterwave (payment processing and Direct Debit), Prembly (identity verification), Supabase (secure database and authentication infrastructure), and Resend (transactional email delivery). These providers are contractually restricted to using your data solely to provide their service to us. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

6. Data Retention

We retain KYC and transaction records for as long as required by applicable Nigerian financial regulations, and account data for as long as your account remains active plus a reasonable period thereafter for legal and audit purposes.

7. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, subject to our legal obligation to retain certain financial records. You can update most account information directly from your profile settings, or contact us using the details below for anything else.

8. Security

KYC documents are stored securely and access is restricted to authorized personnel. We support two-factor authentication for account login, and all pages are served over HTTPS. No online platform can guarantee absolute security, and we encourage you to use a strong, unique password and enable two-factor authentication.

9. Children

Landwich is not directed at, and does not knowingly collect data from, anyone under 18 years of age.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or an in-app notice before they take effect.
